Police are reviewing their security efforts at Prince George's school after a woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary.

Police said today the 40-year-old woman was arrested after an individual gained access to Thomas' Battersea School in south London yesterday.

The unnamed woman entered Thomas's Battersea school in south London on Tuesday, the London Metropolitan said in a statement.

"We are working with the school, which is attended by His Royal Highness Prince George, to review its security arrangements after the incident", police said.

Last week, local residents criticised a lack of security at the school after one local was able to walk its halls unchallenged after finding entrances to the building were left unlocked.

A review of security arrangements has been launched following the arrest.

They add that she was arrested "in the vicinity of the school".

George started school at the £18,000-a-year private school last Thursday in a blaze of publicity.

Kensington Palace said George was at the school both days and will return there this morning.

Speaking just hours after his son had attended his first day, the proud dad revealed that everything "went well" - in fact, George wasn't the cheekiest child in attendance! And can we talk about how precious his little blue uniform was?

Burnett-Moore also managed to get as far as the school reception without seeing anybody. Fittingly translated to "school shoes" in English, the moccasin-style kicks retail for £38.95 (approximately $52) and come in two colors: black and navy blue.
