The story claimed that Trump's first tweet was posted at 6:52 a.m. on Oct. 2 and said: "My heart and prayers got [sic] out to the victim's families of the Las Vegas massacre".

Crime scene photos inside Paddock's room were leaked to the media, showing an array of high-powered rifles littering the ground and mounds of bullet casings.

"We have looked at everything, literally, to include the suspect's personal life, any political affiliation, his socia lbehaviours, economic situation, any potential radicalisation", McMahill told reporters.

"If you know something, say something", said Aaron Rouse, agent in charge of the Las Vegas FBI office.

British officials, however, have not classified the incident as a terrorist act.

Authorities have identified Stephen Craig Paddock, 64, of Mesquite, Nevada, as the shooter who opened fire on a crowd of more than 22,000 from his 32nd-floor hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Oct. 1, killing 59 people and injuring more than 500.

But authorities said the continued lack of an apparent motive has prompted them to turn to the public for help.

"This was a remarkable effort by a brave and remarkable man", McMahill said. Local and federal investigators found no ties to international terrorism while the gunman's brother, Eric Paddock, insists he wasn't particularly religious or partisan.

He also said the Tannerite - an explosive powder used for long-range target practice - that was recovered from Paddock's home was not in a condition to be used in an IED, as others had questioned.

"In the past, terror attacks or mass murder motive was made very clear by a note that was left, by a social media post, by a telephone call that was made, by investigators mining computer data". is a non-partisan non-profit organization that aims to reduce the level of deception and confusion in U.S. politics.

"What we know is Stephen Paddock is a man who spent decades acquiring weapons and ammo and living a secret life, much of which will never be fully understood", Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said Wednesday.

"What's really puzzling is that we've seen him with similar kinds of activity - booking rooms in other places - so you have to ask yourself the reason he picked Las Vegas and not somewhere else".

Clear Channel released a statement regarding the campaign. The picture was taken at Alaska's Becharof National Wildlife Refuge. Paddock instead turned the gun on himself as police stormed his suite.

Investigators are looking into Paddock's mental health and any medications he was on, McMahill said. "I looked out a few times, but then realized the shooting was coming from above me and thought I shouldn't open the curtains in case the police had a sniper and may fire back".

The popular conservative website called also claims that Paddock was connected to antifa, saying an unnamed source told the website that the FBI found antifa literature in Paddock's hotel room.
